Justification Sprints
Yoke two unrelated things together and explain, in three sentences, why they obviously belong together.
How to run it
- Generate two unrelated suggestions (or grab two objects in the room).
- Out loud, in three sentences, explain why one caused the other — 'and that's why the birdbath is in escrow.'
- No takebacks: whatever your first sentence claims, sentences two and three must support it.
- Do six pairs. Make the last two personal: justify them as decisions YOU made.
What it teaches
Justification — the muscle that turns mistakes into gifts. Scenes wobble when something unplanned happens; this trains the reflex that greets the unplanned as inevitable.
Coaching notes
The trap is explaining HOW they connect (logistics) instead of WHY it matters (stakes). Push each justification until someone would care.
Where it usually goes wrong
Choosing compatible pairs. If the two things already go together there is nothing to justify and the rep is empty.
