Agreement and listening

Yes, Let's

Anyone proposes an activity, the whole group shouts "yes, let's!" and immediately does it with their whole body.

Also known as: Yes And Let's

How to run it

  1. Spread out around the room.
  2. Anyone calls out a proposal: "let's all be tightrope walkers."
  3. Everyone replies "yes, let's!" and physically commits to the activity.
  4. Play it for fifteen or twenty seconds, until someone proposes the next thing.
  5. Continue, ensuring every player proposes at least once.

What it teaches

Wholehearted acceptance with the body rather than the mouth. The gap between saying yes and meaning it becomes visible immediately.

Coaching notes

Watch for players who agree verbally and then stand still. Name it gently — that is exactly what wimping looks like in a scene.

Where it usually goes wrong

Proposals become jokes rather than activities, and nobody actually does anything.
